Instructions: IN A SMALL SAUCE PAN COMBINE SUGAR, WATER, CORN SYRUP AND SALT. STIR UNTIL SUGAR DISSOLVES. COVER AND BRING TO A ROLLING BOIL. REMOVE LID AND PLACE THERMOMETER IN PAN AND COOK TO 250 DEG. ADD COLORING AND CONTINUE TO COOK TO 300 DEG. (REMOVE FROM HEAT AT 290 DEG F AS TEMPERATURE WILL RISE TO 300. ) LET COOL A FEW MINUTES, ADD FLAVORING OIL AND COVER FOR 5 MINUTES. POUR INTO BUTTERED PAN 8" X 8". CUT WITH SHEARS AS SOON AS COOL ENOUGH TO HANDLE, INTO STRIPS. CUT AGAIN TO FORM SQUARES. WHEN COLD PLACE IN SMALL BAG WITH POWDERED SUGAR AND SHAKE TO COAT.
