Instructions: Peel and cube rutabaga , in a medium sauce pan add sugar , salt and water to cover rutabaga , bring to boil and simmer until tender . Mash rutabaga or puree in a food mill , add flour , egg yolks , and white pepper and mix well , beat egg whites till stiff peaks , fold rutabaga mixture into egg whites making sure to keep the volume of the mixture intact.
From that point you may fill individual souffle cups or into one large souffle dish, and bake as you would any other souffle.... Note * Do not grease the baking dish(s). This is a Swedish recipe by the way Email this Recipe:
