Instructions: Cook pecans in sugar until sugar melts and pecans are coated or carmelized. Then cool. Combine dressing ingredients. Pour over salad immediately before serving.

This recipe comes to you from Jeanne, one of our surgery schedulers; and Janet, my former nurse manager. Jeanne and Jan gratiously greeted and welcomed our visitors and surgeons in our old department. I dont miss the old, dingy crowded surgery department. I realize we had to move to compete. I do miss the hospitality that Jeanne and Jan created in the old department.
