4 x salmon steaks, cut 1-inch thick (about 2 pounds)
OR 4 halibut or swordfish steaks
1 med onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 sm green pepper, halved, seeded and chopped
1 clv garlic, minced
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
2 tbl lemon juice
1 tbl Worcestershire sauce
1 tbl sugar
2 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Place fish steaks in a large glass utility dish.. Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in oil, until soft in a medium skillet; stir in tomato sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes; cool slightly; pour over steaks. Allow to marinate while heating grill.

Build medium fire or set gas or electric grill to medium.

Spray a hinged wire basket with no-stick cooking spray and arrange steaks in basket. Close basket. Grill 4 inches from heat, basting with marinade, 10 min- utes on each side. Serve with thick slices of ripe tomato, if you wish.
