Instructions: As many pecan halves as you can place on a cookie sheet.

Heat oven to low at 200 to 250 degrees. Put a thin layer of Crisco oil, about 1/8 inch in a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with sides. Place pecan halves in oil. Bake for 1 hour and turn pecans every 15 minutes. Drain nuts on paper towel on top of newspaper. Salt lightly. Delicious snack!
