Yield:
10 Skewers
Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 lb Chicken breasts, lean pork, beef, or ham sliced thin
3 x Cloves of minced garlic
1/2 x Onion, minced
2 tsp Minced cilantro
1 tbl Brown sugar
The juice of 1 lime
1 tbl Nampla ("fish sauce")
Instructions:
Instructions: Thread the meet onto 12-inch bamboo skewers, placing several strips on each of the 16 skewers. Combine the garlic, onion, cilantro, brown sugar, lime juice, nampla, and vegetable oil in a bowl. Pour over the skewers and marinate for 1 hour. Heat barbecue coals until hot, or preheat a broiler.

Place the skewers on the grill or broiler rack and cook until done as desired. Serve the satays with peanut butter sauce.

Makes 10-12 skewers.
