Instructions: Stir baking soda and salt into flour and set aside.
In saucepan combine sugar, butter and water. Over medium heat bring just to boiling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate and vanilla until melted and smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each, then stir in flour mixture. Stir in half the nuts and pour into greased 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining nuts and bake in preheated 325 degree oven or until edges are firm-looking and center is shiny. Cool on rack. Cut in 2" squares. Email this Recipe:
