Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F. Saute sausage meat till light brown. Drain fat, separate meat with fork, set aside. Saute onion, garlic & mushrooms. Add sausage meat, spices. Stir in sauce. Add macaroni & stir. Arrange alternate layers of macaroni-meat mixture and cottage cheese; ending with meat. Top with bread crumbs & cheese if desired. Bake at 350F for 25-30 min. SERVES:4
