6 sm red potatoes with peel quartered
8 x baby carrots cut 1/4" slices
1 med onion cut thin wedges
1 tbl brown sugar
1 tbl spicy brown mustard
1 tsp caraway seed
1 can sauerkraut - (15 oz) see * Note

Instructions: * Note: The sauerkraut liquid can be used, but to reduce the salty flavor, rinse the sauerkraut with cold water.

In 3 1/2 or 4-quart slow cooker, combine potatoes, carrots and onion. In medium bowl, combine sugar, mustard and caraway seed; mix well. Stir in sauerkraut and kielbasa. Spoon sauerkraut mixture over vegetables in cooker.

Cover; cook on LOW for at least 8 hours or until vegetables are tender.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
