4 lrg Gravenstein or other tart apples
2 tbl Butter
2 tbl Brown sugar
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Freshly-grated nutmeg
Instructions:
Instructions: Peel, core and slice apples. Heat butter in a saute pan and quickly cook the apples until lightly browned. Sprinkle with sugar and spices and add lemon juice to taste. Continue cooking until apples are tender but not mushy. Serve warm.
