Instructions: Stew and season a quart of tomatoes to your taste; add some butter and a little chipped onion, then grated bread crumbs till like a stiff batter.
Pour into buttered baking dish. Strew the top with more bread crumbs and bake 20 minutes. This is nice as a breakfast dish or a dinner vegetable. If any are left over, make into round croquettes and fry nice and brown and you have another dish. Email this Recipe:
