Instructions: Mix sugar and butter thoroughly. Stir in flour. Mix dough with hands.

Chill dough. Roll out 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into fancy shapes: small leaves, ovals, squares, etc. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in 300 degree oven.

Yield: 2 dozen cookies.

NOTE: Place a red hot candy in center of each cookie before baking.
