Instructions: Place 10 hamburgers (including buns) side by side in a large greased casserole dish. Scramble 4 eggs in a bowl and pour over the hamburgers. Chop 8-10 potatoes in bite-sized chunks. Grease a skillet with shortening and fry potatoes with chopped onions, salt and pepper (do not brown completely or overcook). Drain potatoes and layer over the hamburgers. Cook bacon in a pan or microwave until well done (but short of crisp). Pat bacon with paper towels to remove excess grease. Crumble bacon and put in a bowl; set aside. Layer potatoes with American cheese and top with a layer of Velveeta cheese. Layer bacon over the top of the cheeses. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350F. for 30 minutes or until contents are well cooked. Remove foil and cook another 15 minutes until lightly browned on top.
