Ingredients:

1/2 cup salad oil
1/3 cup sesame seed
4 med onions
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbl sugar
1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
1 x 2 1/2-pound beef chuck blade
steak, cut 1 inch thick
Instructions:
Instructions: In 1-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot salad oil, cook sesame seed until golden, stirring. Slice onions thickly.

In 13x9-inch baking dish, mix sesame-seed-oil mixture and onions. Add next 5 ingredients. Trim excess fat from steak; add meat to marinade; turn to coat; cover; chill at least 8 hours, turning occasionally.

Forty-five minutes before serving, preheat broiler. Place steak on rack in broiling pan. Drain onions; set aside; reserve marinade. Broil steak 25 minutes for rare, or as desired, brushing frequently with reserved marinade. Turn steaks once.

In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, cook onions and re- maining marinade until tender, stirring occasionally.

To serve, arrange the steak and sliced onions on a heated platter. Garnish with watercress sprigs.

Serves 8 to 10.
