Instructions: Mix boiling water, oats and sesame seeds and allow to cool. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast and sugar and put in a warm place. When yeast mixture is bubbly (5 to 15 minutes), add flour, salt and sesame mixture and mix until dough forms a ball. (This may require a bit more flour.)
Flour the surface on which you will be kneading your dough, as well as your hands and the dough. Transfer dough to floured surface. Knead well for 10-15 minutes. Allow to rise for 45 minutes, and knead again. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two 9-by-4 1/2-by-23/4 inch loaf pans and sprinkle with cornmeal. Shape dough into 2 long loaves and place in loaf pans. Bake for 30-50 minutes, until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped with a wooden spoon or fingers. Email this Recipe:
