Ingredients:

2 cup water
1/2 cup butter
2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
6 x eggs, unbeaten
Vegetable oil or shortening, for frying
Instructions:
Instructions: Heat water and butter to boiling in a 3-quart saucepan. Combine flour and salt; add all at once to boiling water and mix until mixture leaves the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and add eggs, one at a time. Heat oil or shortening according to directions for deep fryer or in deep skillet over medium high heat until thermometer registers 375 degrees. Drop dough, 1 teaspoon at a time, into hot oil. Fry until golden brown and donuts float to the top, turning to brown evenly. Do not crowd doughnuts. Remove with slotted spoon and allow to drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar or drizzle with honey while still hot.

Yield: 3-4 dozen
