Instructions: Combine onion, lime juice, capers, mustard and hot sauce into a shallow dish. In a saucepan bring the water, vinegar, cloves and bay leaf to a boil. Add shrimp. Cook for one minute stirring constantly.
Add shrimp mixture to shallow dish containing onion mixture. Stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate. Discard cloves and bay leaf. Serve with water crackers or melba toast. This recipe yields 4 servings. Comments: This recipe marinades the shrimp in its cooking stock rather than serving it with a heavy "sauce."
