Ingredients:

1 cup celery, finely chopped
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1 clv garlic, minced
4 tbl butter
4 tbl flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup light sherry
1 tsp red hot sauce
12 oz fresh mushrooms, coarsely cut
Instructions:
Instructions: Saute celery and onions in heated butter. Stir in garlic and sprinkle mixture with flour.

Stir and cook 1 minute. Gradually stir in stock and cream; add hot sauce, mushrooms and shrimp. Cook, stirring until thickened, about 3 minutes. If not thick enough, add 1 tablespoon flour mixed with the sherry and cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Add sherry whether additional thickener is added or not.

If mixture is too thick, add a little more stock or cream as needed.

Serve over hot cooked rice, colored pasta, or hot buttered biscuits.
