Instructions: Saute celery and onions in heated butter. Stir in garlic and sprinkle mixture with flour.
Stir and cook 1 minute. Gradually stir in stock and cream; add hot sauce, mushrooms and shrimp. Cook, stirring until thickened, about 3 minutes. If not thick enough, add 1 tablespoon flour mixed with the sherry and cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Add sherry whether additional thickener is added or not. If mixture is too thick, add a little more stock or cream as needed. Serve over hot cooked rice, colored pasta, or hot buttered biscuits. Delicious, if you like seafood! Email this Recipe:
