Instructions: Slice lemons thin into a bowl including rind. Pour sugar over them. Let stand while making pastry. Stir occasionally until sugar is dissolved. Beat eggs well. Stir into lemon-sugar mixture. Add nutmeg. Pour into shell. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce to 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until done. Test with silver knife.
