4 x chicken thighs, skin removed if desired
4 x chicken drumsticks, skin removed if desired
1 x 15 ounce can chunky Italian style tomato sauce
1 x 4 1/2 ounce whole mushrooms drained
1 tsp dried oregano
1 sm onion sliced
1 sm green bell pepper in 1 " chunks
2 x cloves garlic minced
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Instructions: In a 3 1/2-4 quart slow cooker, combine all ingredients except water and flour, mix gently. Cover and cook on Low Heat setting for 6 hours or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear.

With slotted spoon, remove chicken and vegetables from slow cooker; place in serving bowl. Cover and keep warm.

In small bowl, combine water and flour; blend well. Stir into liquid in slow cooker. Cover; cook on High setting for 5-10 minutes or until thickened. Stir well; spoon mixture over chicken.

Makes 4 servings.

Chinese Cooking

NOTES : The word " Cacciatore", is Italian for "Hunter" refering to hunter-style foods cooked with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, wine and herbs. This is nice served with pasta. Put a pot of water to boil as you finish the cacciatore sauce. Serve over cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle with shredded fresh Parmesan cheese.
