Instructions: Cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Mix flour, soda and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Add chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 9 minutes until I cookies are brown around the edges, but the centers are not fully baked. Leave on cookie sheet a few minutes.

Makes 96 cookies.
