Instructions: Cream butter, add sugar gradually. Add egg yolks and sour cream. Add vanilla and salt. Mix well. Sift flour and soda and add gradually to liquid mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites. (I beat the egg whites first, and set them aside so I can move on with the recipe.) Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350 to 375 degrees for 1 hour.
