Instructions: Sift together the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the softened shortening, sugar, egg, rum vanilla and sourdough. Add the melted chocolate. Beat until smooth. Add the oats, beat well. Chill for about 1 hour in refrigerator. Roll on lightly floured board to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated over 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
