Instructions: In medium skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel; reserve drippings. Crumble bacon; set aside. To reserved bacon drippings, add green bell pepper, celery, and onion. Saute until tender. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover; simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until okra is tender, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
TIP: One 16-ounce can cut okra, drained, and one 8-ounce can stewed tomatoes can be substituted for frozen okra and tomatoes. Email this Recipe:
