Instructions: Finely dice onion and celery.
Heat oil and butter in large pan, add onions, celery and garlic, cook until onions are transparent. Add meat, mash well. Stir meat until lightly browned. Add wine, undrained chopped tomatoes, stock, tomato paste and herbs and spices. Stir until sauce boils and thickens, reduce heat, simmer gently uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, drain well and season lightly. Serve hot with sauce and parmasan cheese. *Variations: Add mushrooms, diced capsicum, bacon or salami to sauce with onions, celery and garlic. Email this Recipe:
