Instructions: Heat the oil in a pan. Add onion. Fry gently for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, basil and salt and pepper to taste. Cook gently for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain thoroughly and pile into a warmed serving dish. Pour the sauce over the top and serve immediately.
