Ingredients:

1 med egg
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
2 tbl green pepper, finely chopped
1/4 tsp oregano, dried
1 lb ground beef
1/2 oz crushed tomatoes
1/2 oz diced tomatoes (We used no salt added from Del Monte. They are very sweet!)
6 oz tomato paste
1/3 cup water
2 tsp parsley, dried
1 tsp basil, dried
1 tsp oregano, dried
1/2 tsp marjoram, dried
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, water, parsley, basil, oregano, marjoram, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Meatballs: Combine in a large mixing bowl egg, bread crumbs, onion, sweet pepper, 1/4 teaspoon oregano and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add ground beef; mix well. Arrange meatballs in a 15x10 x1 baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven 15 to 20 minutes or till no pink remains. Drain well. Add cooked meatballs to sauce and uncover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes more or to desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Serve over cooked spaghetti with bread and a salad for a delightful meal.
