Instructions: Season enough flour to thickly cover a dinner plate with salt five spice and chilli powder.
Cut the squid into rings and bite sized bits. Toss it in the spiced flour. Heat enough oil to deep fry the squid. When it is hot add the floured squid and fry for about 2 minutes. Lift the squid out and drain on kitchen paper. Scatter with chopped coriander leaves and wedges of lemon. Serve with lots of lemon and very cold beer. Serves 2 Email this Recipe:
