1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup corn oil
2 cup pecans, chopped
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 x egg, beaten
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon, the ginger, both sugars, and the oil. In a medium-sized bowl, combine 3/4 cup of the flour mixture, the pecans, and remaining cinnamon and mix together well. Set aside.

Add the baking soda, baking powder, egg, and buttermilk to the sugar mixture and stir together well. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle the pecan mixture over the top and bake for 40 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack or serve warm.

YIELD: 8 SERVINGS
