1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 tbl all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
3 tbl brandy
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Instructions: Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly.

Stir in brandy, salt, nutmeg and pepper sauce, blending well.

This recipe yields 1 3/4 cups.

Yield: 1 3/4 cups
