This recipe is fiery hot. Reduce the amount of cayenne if you
are not fond of spicy food.
2 cup Water
3/4 cup White Vinegar
2 tbl Sugar
1 tbl Mustard Seeds, crushed
4 x Garlic cloves, thinly sliced
4 x Bay Leaves
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper or To Taste
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine all of the ingredients except the beans in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add beans, cover and simmer for 10 minutes, until the beans are cooked but still crisp. Transfer the beans and liquid to a shallow serving dish and refrigerate covered for at least four hours or overnight. Serve cold or at room temperature.

Serves 9 - 12 as an appetizer, 4-6 as a side dish.
