Instructions: Spray large nonstick saucepan with nonstick cooking spray. Add onions, carrot, celery, turnip and jalapeno. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
Add broth, tomatoes, water, lentils, chili powder and oregano. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until lentils are tender. Add pasta and cook 10 minutes or until tender. Ladle soup into bowls; sprinkle with cilantro. TIP - 2 ounces of dried long pasta such as spaghetti, is about the same size as the diameter of a quarter.
