Instructions: In a large saucepan, combine the first six ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Place the pear halves in a baking pan, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
Place 1 baked pear half in each glass dessert plate and add 1 mint leaf where "stem should be. Sprinkle each pear half with the berries and spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of the sauce over each pear half. Serve warm or chilled. YIELD: 8 SERVINGS OLD MONTEREY INN Email this Recipe:
