1/2 lb lean ground beef
1/2 x sweet red pepper finely chopped
1/2 x green pepper finely chopped
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp hot pepper flakes
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1 x egg lightly beaten
2 tbl vegetable oil
3 x red onions chopped
1/2 cup apple juice
Instructions:
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, red and green peppers, bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, chili powder, hot pepper flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, dried basil, thyme and egg. Mix well. Shape the mixture into 4 patties.

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil. Saute Salisbury steaks, about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from pan and keep warm in oven.

In the skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil. Saute the red onions for 3 minutes. Add the apple juice and honey. Saute until onions are golden brown. Serve relish over Salisbury steaks.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
