Instructions: Chop tomatoes and onions.
Peel, core and chop apples. Combine all ingredients except flour and water in a large heavy pan. Stir over heat until sugar is dissolved, then simmer covered for about 1 1/2 hours, stiring occasionally. Blend or process the tomato mixture in batches until smooth. Return to saucepan and bring to the boil. Blend flour with water and gradually stir into the tomato mixture to thicken. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until thick. Ladle into hot sterilisede jars and seal. Serve with any kind of meat. Makes about 1 1/2 litres. Email this Recipe:
