Instructions: To make the sauce heat the sugar and syrup over a low heat stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved.
Cook for a further 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream and vanilla essence. Beat for about 2 minutes until the sauce is smooth and glossy. Serve the strawberries with the sauce hot or cold. The sauce can be made a day ahead stored in the refrigerator and then served cold. It does not re heat well. Serves 4 Email this Recipe:
