8 x rump steaks

1 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup tomato paste
1 med onion, finely chopped
3 clv garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp grated lemon rind
Instructions:
Instructions: Trim excess fat from steaks and flatten them to even thickness.

Combine all ingredients for the marinade thoroughly. Place steaks in a flat glass dish, pour over marinade and turn them to coat evenly with marinade mixture.Cover dish and refrigerate overnight, turning steaks occasionally.

Drain and reserve marinade from steaks. Cook steaks over hot coals for 6 - 8 minutes per side, basting frequently with reserved marinade.

Serve 8
