Ingredients:

100 gm suet
100 gm flour, plain
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tsp baking powder
100 gm currants
100 gm raisins
250 ml treacle
250 ml milk
1 x eggs
1 tbl butter
Instructions:
Instructions: Chop suet finely and mix with flour, cinnamom, ginger and baking powder.

Make a well in the center, stir in the lightly warmed treacle and egg, then gradually add milk, beating all together.

Pour mixture into a well buttered 1.25 litre pudding basin, cover tightly with lid or foil.

Steam at a steady heat for 2 1/2 hours.

When ready, turn out and serve with vanilla sauce and cream.

Can be prepared ahead and reheated as required.
