Instructions: 2 Tbsp sesame seeds toasted (place on a baking tray in the top of the roasting ovenfor 25 minutes watch them as they burn easily)
Mix the soy sauce sherry orange juice onions and garlic in a basin. Toss m either the tofu or the meat strips. Cover and leave to marinate for 1 hour. Heat the oil in a large frying pan add the almonds fry for 1 minute to brown on all sides remove with slotted spoon to a plate and then keep warm in the simmering oven. Add the tofu cubes or meat strips to the hot pan and stirfry until they begin to brown 2 to 3 minutes for the tofu 5 minutes for the meat. Remove them to the plate in the simmering oven. Add the peppers and mangetout peas stirfry for about 2 minutes stir in the mushrooms and beansprouts and cook for another minute. Add the almonds and the marinade and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the tofu or meat heat through and serve sprinkled with the sesame seeds. Many people think they cannot stirfry on their aga. I find it very successful using the boiling plateand a large frying pan. This recipe can be adapted for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Tofu a bean curd has little flavour of its own so it is a good idea to marinate before cooking. The same can be said of turkey or chicken strips so treat them in the same way.
