Instructions: Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin.
When it changes colour add the curry leaves and asafoetida. Stir once and add the ginger and powder spices. Fry for a minute. Add the peas salt and 4 teaspoons of water and cook until tender (you may need to add more water for fresh peas). The cooked peas should be dry. Sprinkle the coconut over the peas toss themixture to blend and serve warm. Do not reheat on a high heat as the taste of the coconut will be affected. Serves 4 Email this Recipe:
