Instructions: For The Cake:
Dissolve the gelatin in cold water. Combine with the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, flour and strawberries in a mixer bowl. Beat for 5 minutes. Pour into 3 greased and floured round cake pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until the layers test done. Cool in the pans on wire racks. May substitute fresh strawberries for the frozen strawberries. For The Frosting: Cream the butter, confectioners sugar and strawberries in a mixer bowl until light and fluffy, adding additional confectioners sugar if needed for desired consistency. May substitute fresh strawberries for the frozen strawberries. To Assemble: Spread the frosting between the layers and over top and side of the cake.
