Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
2 cup Carrot, cooked, mashed
1 cup Molasses
1 tsp Baking soda
1/4 cup Water, hot
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Allspice
1 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 cup Raisins
1/2 cup Citron, chopped
1 cup Suet, chopped
1 x Egg
1 x dissolved in:
2 tbl Brown sugar
1/2 x Lemon, grated rind of
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Cloves
1/2 cup Currants
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix all the ingredients together, adding the dissolved baking soda last.

Put into a buttered mold and steam for 3 hours. (May need to use extra flour to thicken the batter).
