Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1/4 cup C and H Granulated Sugar (divided)
1 cup Butter or margarine
2 x Eggs
1/2 cup All-purpose flour
1/4 tsp Baking soda
1/4 tsp Salt
2 tsp Ginger
Instructions:
Instructions: Cream together 1 cup sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, soda, salt and ginger. Stir in dry ingredients and then buttermilk. Spread in greased 15 x 10-inch pan.

Sprinkle batter with remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Bake in 400 degree oven 20 minutes. Cool and cut into 64 bar cookies (1 x 2 inches).
