Ingredients:

1 kg grapes, green
1 kg apples, Granny Smith
550 gm brown sugar
250 gm saltanas
310 ml vinegar, cider
150 ml lemon juice
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cloves, ground
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon, ground
Instructions:
Instructions: Peel, core and dice apples.

Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to the boil, stirring well. Reduce heat; simmer 1 1/4 hours or until thick and golden brown. Stir often.

Ladle into hot jars and seal.

Let mature 1 month before using.

Makes 2 litres.

Keeps for 3-4 months.

Ensure storage jars are well sterilised.
