Instructions: Peel and slice sweet potatoes. Place in 1 cup of water, cover and cook 5-7 minutes, or until crisp-tender. Drain. Grease 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Place half the sweet potatoes and half the apples in the bottom of the dish. Mix together the brown sugar and spices. Sprinkle half the spices over the sweet potatoes and apples. Dot with 1 1/2 tablespoons of the margarine. Repeat the sweet potato/apple layers, then sprinkle the rest of the sugar-spice mixture over the top and dot with remaining margarine. Bake covered for 15 minutes in 350-degree oven. Uncover, baste with pan juices; bake uncovered for another 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve hot.
