Instructions: Combine flour, baking powder, and chicken breasts in bag and shake to coat. Heat shortening over low heat in non-stick skillet. Brown chicken in hot shortening.
Combine remaining liquid ingredients in sauce pan and bring to a slow boil, stirring often. Spray oven-proof casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray and arrange chicken breasts in dish. Pour hot sauce over chicken and allow to marinate 1 to 2 hours. Bake at 325 degrees for 60 to 90 minutes. Serve with seasoned rice and vegetable side dish. This recipe yields 4 servings.
