Instructions: Rinse peas and apples and soak them overnight in plenty of cold water.
Next day, bring them to a boil in the water in which they were soaked, add the raisins and salt to taste, cover and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours or until the peas are tender. Mix the honey, cider vinegar and vanilla sugar in a heavy based pan and heat gently for 1 to 2 minutes. Spoon the peas, apples and raisins carefully through the honey sauce and serve immediately with creamed potatoes and fried pork chops. Email this Recipe:
