Instructions: Hi all, I tried this recipe, but instead of using a pot, I used the gas grill. I doubled the "smoke" ingredients, and used 8 bone-in, skinless chicken breast halves. I put the smoke ingredients in a small aluminum pie pan lined with foil, and put that in the center of the grill (the hottest part). I left the lid down and let the grill heat up until there was smoke pouring out. Then I put the breasts, bone side down, around the edges of the grill. I turned the heat down to medium-low and just let it bake for 25-30 minutes. I never turned the breasts, and they were a beautiful brown with a very nice flavor. Interesting, the leftovers had an even more intensely smoky flavor.
