Instructions: Soak hickory chips in water at least 30 minutes.
Combine steak and next 5 ingredients in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; seal and shake well. Chill at least 8 hours, turning occasionally. Remove steak from marinade, discarding marinade. Grill steak, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350 to 400 degrees) 5 to 6 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices.
