3 x eggs
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup karo(r) light or dark corn syrup
1/2 cup mazola(r) margarine or butter melted and cooled
1 tbl flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup pecans coarsely chopped
1 x unbaked deep dish pie crust* (9")
Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. In medium bowl with fork beat eggs slightly. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine, flour, salt and vanilla; stir until well blended. Stir in chopped pecans. Pour into pie crust. Arrange pecan halves around edge of filling.

3. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cover edge of pie with foil if pastry becomes too brown. Cool on wire rack.

Makes 8 servings

* TO USE PREPARED FROZEN PIE CRUST: Use 9-inch deep-dish pie crust. Do not thaw. Preheat oven and a cookie sheet. Pour filling into frozen crust; bake on cookie sheet. (Insulated cookie sheet is not recommended.)
